Hey guys, today I realized how ridiculously behind I am on my show reviews. So here is my attempt to fix that!

HEY GUYS!!! *TACKLEHUGS* I'M BACK! I just got home for Christmas and am now sitting in the living room watching the snow fall. That's right - for the first time in 10 years, we have snow for Christmas! You have no idea how happy this makes me. *glee*

So, you ask, what the hell happened to me? Well, um. Life at uni I guess. I've been so busy with work, it's unreal. Not to mention some RL drama that's gone on, particularly with some psychotic flatmates of mine. Really, some of the biggest bitches I've ever met, I don't even want to go into it. But I'm moving into a different flat next semester, with a better room, nicer people and and AND a fairly decent internet connection (which is more than I can say for the flat I've been in for the last few months). So it's all good. :)

I must say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who sent me one of those lovely snowflakes for my profile, I love them so much!

Whee, I'm so happy!!! I just handed in my first assignment of the year, all 2000 words of it. Maybe it's not the best thing I've ever written (our lecturers actually said that they expect our first assigment to be kind of crap), but I don't care because it done and I can finally relax now.

Hello my lovely flist!!! *tacklehugs* York is amazing so far, I'm having a great time. All my flatmates are really nice and I've made a few other friends. Basically spent the last few days wandering around the city, exploring all the shops and pubs. I've also been to some introduction talks and lectures for my course, my modules for the first semester seem really interesting.

My third module is just a writing course so there aren't any novels to read for that, just a few textbooks.

There have been a few stressful things of course, like issues with bloody Student Finance loans and my Student ID card not being ready but apart from that things have gone fairly smoothly. I've felt a little homesick sometimes but I seem to be doing better than a lot of people here.

I'll try and catch up with everything that's been going on over here but it may take a while, hehe.

I'm all packed and ready to go. Can't believe I'm actually moving out TOMORROW OMFG. :O Right now I'd say I'm 80% excited, 10% nervous and the last 10% of me just hasn't even let it sink in yet!

Wow, this seems like the shortest hiatus ever. I don't if that's because S5 is starting so early in September, because things were so crazy with university stuff or because I pretty much dropped out of the SPN fandom less than a month after the finale and spent the rest of the summer with new fandoms (Leverage, Criminal Minds, Brothers and Sisters) and revisiting some old fandoms (Harry Potter, The Outsiders, Skins). It wasn't until sometime last week that I actually thought about it and was like OMG NEW SUPERNATURAL NEXT WEEK WOT???

I know a couple of tiny little spoilers but not much else, so yay!
Things I want for this season:

Boys back together again.
No mention of Ruby whatsoever.
If they must mention Ruby, it will only be to discuss what a scheming little skank she was and how they should have killed her sooner.

BOYS BACK TOGETHER AGAIN. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH.

I just spent the last hour or so watching Mock the Week clips on Youtube and I thought I'd share a few of my favourites. For those of you who aren't in the UK, Mock the Week is a panel show that discusses topics that have been in the media during the week, ranging from politics to the economy to popular culture...basically anything worth talking about over the last seven days. And then, in typical British fashion, the panel then proceeds to rip the piss out of every topic.
It's one of the most popular comedy shows over here, I literally don't know a single person who hasn't seen at least a few episodes. This show makes me so glad to be British, I adore our sense of humour. Despite the fact that it tends to offend a few other countries. Hell, that's probably one of the reasons I like it so much. *sniggers*.

LivingTV (one of my favourite TV channels) has started showing Supernatural! \o/
It's still only on season 1, Bloody Mary is on right now. Eee, the boys are so young! Sam is still a college geek! He still has his bangs! And his daddy issues! Dean isn't emo! He's constantly snarky and badass - no manpain at all! They're just starting to be brothers again!

Oh, nostalgia.


Haven't done much of anything today, I've been so lazy. Spent the morning (and early afternoon) sleeping and recovering from last night (leaving party for a friend - it was epic!), watched a few episodes of Criminal Minds, read some fic and that's about it. As much as I'm looking forward to moving to York (two weeks today!), I'm making the most of my last few lazy days. =)

Sorry I haven't been around, folks. Forgive me? *offers cookies* Basically, since I got accepted into YSJ (York St John), things have been pretty non-stop. I still have so much I need to buy, I have a million forms to fill in (which I hate with the fire of a thousand suns), I need to sort out my accommodation and...yeah. Busybusybusy! But it's a good busy, I'd say. =)
I'm going to have to start thinking about which books/DVDs I'll be taking with me and which ones will get left behind. Yeah, that's going to be hard. Painful, even.

Apparently some shit went down at the latest SPN con? I haven't been involved in the SPN fandom for over a month now (apparently when the show goes on summer hiatus, so do I), apart from to read a couple of spoilers for S5, so IDK what's going on. Anyway, some people were flipping out but some were saying it (whatever it was, I haven't actually found out) wasn't that bad. Meh, whatever. Hope people didn't embarrass themselves too much.

I want to say happy belated birthday to heizqu and vaeltaa! I'm so, so sorry about how late I am with the birthday wishes, I've been a truly crappy LJ friend over the last couple of weeks. But I hope that you both had wonderful days, I really do!

Went to my friend's house party last night, drank, danced, squeed with everyone over going to uni and getting away from our parents and got up to the usual drunken shenanigans (including actually doing those cartwheels I mentioned in my last post). Got home at about 1:30am, collapsed in my bed, slept for roughly 14 hours, squeed again when I woke up and remembered what had happened the day before, showered, ate some real food and here I am! Good times. :)

Okay, so I thought I would post some pics so you can all see where I'm going on September 21st!
